Darrion spent five years as a probation officer with Dallas County while volunteering with Behind Every Door mentoring kids, hosting basketball tournaments, and recruiting his church to serve the Roseland community. In 2017, Darrion joined Behind Every Door staff as the Community Director at The Rose. Darrion grew up in Pleasant Grove, attending Spruce High School. He then went on to play quarterback and graduate from Langtson University. He and his wife, Ashley, live in Forney with their two sons.

Fiona has held a variety of roles in her 15 year career in media industry, all of which stem from a desire to understand people and to make great work. This includes 3 years on an Oscar-nominated animation feature, International film festivals and her current project, a WW2 documentary film. Her interest in communication grew into a degree in Japanese and has led her to pursue a Masters in Cognitive Psychology. She is also a Director at WWCodeDFW which aims to change the demographic of women in technology fields. She has been connected to Behind Every Door for 4 years as a volunteer, with a desire to encourage the love of learning and literacy. She is from the North-East of England and Scotland, which is where her faith took root. It gives her a love of the sea, creativity, and adventures. She now lives in Dallas with her animator husband and two children, who are a driving force in teaching her how to love well every day.

Keith began his career in commercial real estate in 1985 for the former LaSalle Partners, and The Prudential Realty Group's subsidiary, Premisys, where he simultaneously managed Bank of America Plaza and Renaissance Tower, two of the largest corporate office buildings in Dallas' Central Business District. In 1997, Keith joined Macfarlan Real Estate Investment Management where he was a partner serving on the Investment Committee and responsible for all of the firm's commercial asset management and corporate operations. Keith is an active member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, has served on the Associate Board of the Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business Administration, and is past Chairman of the Board of the Providence Christian School of Texas. Keith graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor's degree in business and from Southern Methodist University with an MBA. He lives in Dallas with his wife, Kendall, and has two children.

Samantha joined our team in 2018 as an Executive Assistant. She was born and raised in Fort Worth and is passionate about worship, prayer and seeing the move of God in families and upcoming generations. She and her husband, Rabih, enjoy working with non-profits and live in Fort Worth with their son.

Since his time attending Kent State, Cordell has worked in a number of different fields from sales to industrial, which has given him insight into the structures of different teams and the similarities that exist within different fields. While not yet completing his degree at Kent State, his time there led him to serve in a volunteer role with a Christian parachurch organization called Impact Movement for seven years. This served not only to build up his faith-walk in community and accountability, but also set the foundation for his passion for discipleship and apologetics.

Phillip Crawford hails from Montrose, Alabama. He most recently served as Leadership Director at Chick-fil-A in Cockrell Hill, just outside of Dallas. Prior to Chick-fil-A he was the director of Higher Ground, a High School servant leadership
program where he led urban missions training and mission trips. Phillip also spent time serving at Kids Across America where he facilitated discipleship seminars and oversaw the internship program. Phillip holds a masters degree in Leadership and Ethics from John Brown University. Phillip's life vision is to invest in people's lives so that people might come to know, grow, and show God's word to those they have influence.

Shalaan Dungey brings over 25 years of diverse experience working in religious and corporate settings. For much of her career, Ms. Dungey faithfully served at her church where she deepened her own spiritual growth and development. Through this, she came to understand the community's significant needs. Life does not always unfold as planned, but she believes her path was purposefully redirected by God to better serve others.

Ms. Dungey's education and extensive background working with faith-based and corporate organizations provide her with valuable skills and insights. She approaches working in communities with dedication, compassion, and a desire to help those in need. She is restorative and can see the potential in others and help individuals grow.

Ms. Dungey holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and French from Xavier University of Louisiana. She lives in Dallas and in her leisure time enjoys riding her motorcycle.

Kim joined the team in August 2017 to implement the enrichment portion of our strategy with the youth. She has over 35 years of experience in education and administration which include public and private school, as well as homeschooling her own children. She has written homeschooling and art curriculum as well as co-authored Pass the TExES, which is a test prep manual for Texas teachers exams, EC-6. Her degrees and certifications include elementary education, administration, art and dance (k-12). In addition, she had taught a variety of dance and drill team classes throughout the US. Kim's passion is instilling the love of the arts in children as well as nurturing creative play. Her goal for the enrichment component is to provide opportunities of discovery and imagination for the children at Behind Every Door through quality artists, venues and creative play that will plant seeds for creativity in later years. Kim and her husband Paul, both graduates from Hillcrest High School and Dallas natives, have been married for 38 years and have 4 grown children.

Nicole is a seasoned professional with over two decades of diverse experience in both corporate and non-profit sectors, having most recently served at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and Mercy Street in Dallas. Possessing a masters degree in Strategic Leadership, she has a deep understanding of effective organizational management and leadership strategies. In 2023 she joined Behind Every Door, where her wealth of knowledge and expertise finds purpose in contributing to the organization's mission. Residing in Dallas, Nicole shares her life with her husband, three sons, and their beloved Bull Mastiff, Blue.

Meredith was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She went to college at Texas A&M University, graduating in 2018 with a degree in Communication and a minor in Business. After graduating she worked for Park Cities Presbyterian Church as a Middle School resident for 2 years. When that ended Meredith enjoyed volunteering and getting to know different organizations around Dallas. In 2020, her heart was drawn to Behind Every Door and her and her husband fell in love with their mission. She began working part time for Behind Every Door in December of 2021. She is so grateful to be apart of this incredible team and the opportunity to daily see how the Lord is using B.E.D. to build relationships and grow His Kingdom. Meredith and her husband, Scottie, live in Dallas, Texas.

Keith "Smitty" Smith came to Village Oaks in 2013. He is an active member of several recovery groups and leads/teaches two each week. Smitty has given his life to helping others and he is a loyal friend to many. He has an amazing story, and if you ever meet him - ask him to share it with you!

Ray’s career with youth, his love for helping others, and his interest in innovation began at an early age and has been developed during the years as he worked in music entertainment. In 2009 he started a small boutique label group. He was a SXSW artist for 6 consecutive years and planned a youth summer camp for Covenant Christian Ministries and the El Campo Housing Authority. In 2016 Ray became a licensed minister. With his unique and varied skill set, and ministry in his heart, he began serving the Village Oaks community as a member of the Behind Every Door Team in 2017. In 2020 he started his new position as UX Specialist.

Katherine joined the Behind Every Door team in 2018 to ensure all of the "i's" are dotted and the "t's" are crossed. Since 2000, she has worked as a Certified Public Accountant in a variety of industries, with a special passion for helping non-profit organizations navigate the ever-changing landscape of financial regulation. Katherine grew up in a Marine Corps family, living in five states and two foreign countries before settling in Texas to attend college at Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and an MBA. She currently lives in Plano with her husband and two children.
